Why is minitab so special? What is easier to use than this type of software?

IMO :

1. Minitab is really user-friendly and has nice graphical outputs.
2. The setup is really neat in term of data exploration :
   1. Graphical Analysis and descriptive statistics
   2. Additional graphical sets to explore further
   3. Powerful data manipulation functions
   4. The statistical report is easy to be interpreted
3. You may try JMP (which is really awesome when comes to DOE and modeling), SPSS , SigmaXL or even Qi-Macros.

Obviously, MINITAB is not the only choice.
